Krystal Marie Ball
Krystal Marie Balm (born on November 24, 1980) is an American journalist and political commentator. She was previously a politician, as well as a TV host on MSNBC as well as a regular contributor to The Huffington Post, and former cohost of The Hill’s Rising together with Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball have made it clear they were leaving the show in May 2021. They wanted to start their own project, which they named Breaking Points. Ball hosts with Kyle Kulinski on the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends. She has appeared on various network shows, including CNN, Fox News, Fox News, CNBC, Fox News, and Real Time together with Bill Maher. Ball was married to Jonathan Dariyanani in 2020. Ball attributes her new interest in politics partly to her experiences as a mother during the 2008 primaries. Additionally, she also was a witness to the US presidency election in 2008 while working in Jordan. She was able observe the impact of the election on people living in Jordan, and thus gained an appreciation of the global impact US politics have on the lives of all people in the world. She was a Senior Fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was chosen by the Democratic Party to represent Virginia's 1stCongressional District in the election of 2010. However, she lost to Rob Wittman. She hosted the MSNBC program The Cycle from June 2012 until July 2015. She created the People's House Project, an action committee that works for Democratic causes in May 2017.
