Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actress from the United States. She is most famous for her part as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. Following the seventh season, Sedgwick was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended August 13 in 2012. Sedgwick is also remembered for her recurring character as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for a Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) as well as Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who worked as Speech and Family Therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian and with English heritage. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and has stated that she attends Passover seders.
